"Nubain and Vistril"
I have been experiencing 2 or 3 migraines per week since July of 1998 after the birth of my daughter. I have had them in the past but not as frequent. My neurologist started me on amatriptyline for preventative and nubain and vistril combination for the migraine. I am tired of the headaches!!!! Has anyone used this combination of drugs, or does anyone know the long term effects of them? What are the alternatives. I have a fulltime job and two small children and I feel I am neglecting both.

1. "Nubain and Vistaril"
Hey!! I get Nubain and Phenergan shots in my doctors office when all my other medicines fails me. Besides the chance of addiction (like any other medicine) I have not had any ill effects. Ofcourse I would rather not need them but it's what I have to do when my headaches get bad. The ER Dr.s sometime give me Demerol/Vistaril/Phenergan shots. It works but it really knocks me for a loop. I have a Rx for Vistaril that I use for migraines and nervous episodes and it works most of the time. Good luck on finding what your body needs for your migraines. Carrie
