"I Need You, I have an idea"
Hi everyone, I am looking for people to take part in a free study, which hopefully will result in a natural, effective migraine and headache preventative. The method has worked on my friends and me but I need to test it on a larger scale, the secret will be shared with everyone participating as long as people keep me updated with their results, I will not charge anyone anything nor ask for personal details and you are free to back out at anytime. Hi. May I ask are you a Dr? I think it is great when new things are done or tried to prevent pain. Many of us here are in cronic pain -- the worst of the migraine people. Many of us have seen many Dr.s -- been to many clinics -- had many surguries. I think you should post your backround before anyone from here tries your study. Please don't take this wrong but your post tells us nothing. I am not interested in doing this but more important I think what I have said needs to be said. So anyone who tries this be careful. Call your Dr. and see what he says. Thanks Billy

I have a strong interest in natural remedies and cures, and find these to be more effective than conventional medicine. I have conducted a recent study which shows a natural element in apples, vinegar, magnesium and pure honey can help completely stop migraines within seconds when in the aura stage i.e. the aura disappears and no pain is followed. The only problem is the taste; many people cannot stomach the taste, so with my new study I am hoping to simply add flavourings and sugar/sweeteners; however I am unsure whether in doing this it will hinder the natural effect of the element mentioned above, I am going to test this myself, but I only suffer from migraines once every 3-4 months. Hope this makes things clearer -Mitch

	There have actually been several studies done about the difference between the 2 types of migraines. Either there is an aura or there isn't, and it seems that the treatment for the migraine changes if you have an aura or not.

Hi Mitch: This is a P.S. to my previous message. I recently heard of a person who has honey every day to ward off his migraine. And, for him, it works. Now your mentioning honey. Interesting...and most of us know about magnesium. The apples and vinegar is new to me. Anyway, please get back. Gail

	Hi Gail I’m glad you’re interested, what I meant was when you take this, the aura completely goes and there is no pain, so I assume it would help people with no aura. People who have chronic daily migraines/headaches. all the ingredients are natural i.e. no drugs, so there are no side-effects if you drop me an email (so I can reply) and I’ll tell you everything you need to know, all I ask is you post your results, the method stops my migraines dead in their tracks, I get the aura and dizziness which clears up within 2-3 minutes with what I will e-mail you (no joke), look forward to hearing from you -Mitch

	I'm kind of leary about sending information out about myself to someone that has no way of proving that they are legitimate. No offense to Mitch, but that's just how I feel. Plus, I've tried natural remedies and none have worked. In fact they aggrivated my situation. To many people out there fishing ya know. --Allison--

Taste???? who cares about taste if it means the end to migraine!! I get wierd wavy images in one eye about 10-20 minutes before the pain starts behind the other and i guess a strange feeling thru out my body (altho that could be fear!) What is the aura? Ive heard/seen it mentioned a lot.

	Dear Nikkii: The weird wavy images you get in your eye is the aura. Also, I agree with you. Who cares about the taste if it will stop the pain. Good Luck. Gail

	Hi nikkii, The 'wavy images in one eye about 10-20 minutes before the pain starts behind the other' is an aura. An aura is defined as a warning before a headache occurs. Below is a site I found that explains it (in more detail): http://headaches.about.com/od/migrainediseas1/a/aura_ache.htm For me, I have common migraines, which are those that involve recurrent headaches, which may be accompanied by symptoms other than headache but which rarely include a preliminary warning (aura). I'd say they compose 98% of my migraines. I HAVE had classic migraines though---albeit VERY few of them. 	Thankyou Gail and Erin,i found the links very helpful..I'm so glad i came upon this site/forum, everyone is wonderful and supportive and its full of useful information,im feeling a lot better about taking medication for my migraines and its just great knowing that there is so much support out there,just a pity there are so many unfortunate people that suffer from the dreadful migraines..(((((Hugs everyone)))))

	Hi nikkii, You're very welcome. I also agree about what you said re: this site! This place has been a GODSEND for me, and I've been here since June 2 of last year...(I've had migraines for 10 months now/they were diagnosed 10 months ago...). I'm glad you're feeling a lot better about taking medication for your migraines. It can be scary--especially re: all the medications, what they're actually prescribed for, etc. SOOO many out there...LOL. It can be overwhelming/intimidating. And it IS unfortunate that people have to suffer from this disease...sighs. I know for me, I feel even 'lonlier' because mine are caused by the two brain surgeries I had last spring. I like to say I'm 'in a class by myself'. LOL--which *I* AM. GRR! It's OK though--it's life... Take care Hope you're doing OK... Hugs back at ya (and thanks!) 	Sorry to be so negative...but, a true study isn't conducted this way. If you are studying medicine you would know that you cannot seek out participants in order to facilitate a study like this - you also should not tell us what you are planning...or else we already "know"...is it controlled? double blind? what about the other factors...like all the meds that we take? You need to structure your "study" in a professional way if you expect anyone to respect the results and do anything with them. Also, you need to have a way larger group for the numbers to be statstically significant. I hesitate to believe what you are suggesting.

	Just in case anyone is interested...I emailed Mitch a couple of weeks back and he sent me his secret cure. I am using bio-identical hormones now and my migraines have reduced drastically but when I do have that migraine feeling of one possibly coming I have tried his cure and it seems to help. It is definitely worth giving it a try, it is nothing bad at all, things you probably have in the fridge. Doesn't even taste that bad to me. If you don't hear from him regarding the ingredients I don't think that he would mind if you wanted to e-mail me. I think that he just would like people to post if it does really help. For my experience, a couple of weeks ago before I started with the bio-identical hormone therapy, I was getting a migraine and I made up the mixture, drank it and my migraine stopped coming. So I made some more for good measure and drank that and went off to a meeting. About 3 or 4 hours later at the meeting my migraine came back and I could not get rid of it all night, even though I had some more of the mixture when I got home and an Amerge. Since then, like I said I am doing better in general, but I still make up the mixture from time to time and drink some because I think it might be good for you and also it really does seem to help if you catch a migraine in time. I am not on any medication other than Amerge when needed, and now the bio-identical hormones. Just my thoughts on it... Laurie
