"neuro-ophthalmologist"
So have decided to take a different path and since my migraines are visually triggered going to try a neuro-ophthalmologist to see if he has any suggestions about how to better avoid my triggers....anyone ever seen this type of specialist before?

I have a girlfriend that has been suffering from graves disease that had ocular graves disease that was deteriorating her vision. She really liked the doctor that she saw. I know that there are not many out there because it is such a narrow specialty. I am planning on bringing my daughter for the exact same reason as you. her visual issues are terrible with her migraine that she has had since March. Please keep me posted and let me know what they do for you. Best of luck!

Hi,

I have seen a neuro-opthamologist after experiencing double vision with migraines. It turns out that my eyes have always turned out slightly and the migraines make it worse causing double vision. He also checked for any possibility of increased intracranial pressure. Luckily, I do not have that.

The one I saw did not have anymore suggestions about migraines. I have a pretty good neurologist and the neuro opthamologist didn't have any new ideas.

I hope that your visit is helpful. Do ask about checking ocular pressure as it can be an indicator of increased pressure, which can cause horrible headaches.

Good luck.

Pain free days,
sailingm
