"Corgard (naldolol)"
After much research on the net, and a discussion with my neurologist, I've gotten a prescription for Corgard (naldolol) to use as a preventative medication for migraine. I would be interested in anyone's experience, good or bad, with this medication.

Lois. At one time I used Corgard as a preventative. When we added Sinequan a tricyclic antidepressant the combination worked fairly well for some time. neither one by itself gave much relief but the two combined did. Hope you have good success with it. It takes time to see results with this med. Pat

Hi Lois,

I do not like giving you a negative reply to your post, but in my case Corgard really made me dizzy and weak.

I had to stop using it after a few days.

Different medications do not have the same effects on eveyone, so I hope it works well for you.

Take care,

Gen

Thanks Gen--I wanted to know it all--good and bad. My neurologist warned that this is the most common side effect he sees with corgard.

since you have done research on this med-ication, i will assume you know that if you have asthma you cannot/should not takethis medication. for me it caused severeshortness of breath with any exertion andchest pain, along with numerous other sideeffects. some people have had good luckwith corgard and other beta blockers. good luck to you.
