"Erin go bragh!"
We are leaving Sunday to go to Ireland for 2 weeks. We will be visiting one of our boys, who is there for awhile, and also will do the tourist thing.

I am excited about the trip, and seeing Jonas He gets invited to play traditional Irish music with local groups several nights a week, so I will be spending lots of time in pubs. ( Just for the music, I promise).

I am anxious, as before any vacation, about pain that may be exacerbated by conditions I have no control over. You guys know the drill--flying, driving, sleep deprivation, irregular eating times, etc.

My insurance company is being anal about filling my Frova early, but I am still working on it. Cost is their only excuse, since they fill my BP med without a whimper. I have asked my doc for samples, but alas, he only has 2 tablets, and he follows the rules about not mixing triptans, so he won't give me a variety.

I have had vacations absolutely ruined by a days-long-number-10 before. But I have had some good trips, too. Got to keep a positive attitude. Jonas really wanted us to come, and I am so grateful that my kids actually like to spend time with us that I wouldn't dream of saying no.

If I don't check in before I leave, I will be back with you guys near the end of the month.

I found the coloured houses very interesting! Also the people very friendly.

In case Norma doesn't get back to us before her trip, I think it means "Ireland Forever", or something similar.
Norma can correct me if I'm wrong!

Right you are. We are flying into Shannon, driving to County Cork--my son is in a small town there. Then we will drive up the west coast as far as Galway. I want to see the islands and cliffs and other coastal scenery.

Norma,

How exciting for you! I didn't read the responses (it's just about my bedtime) but wanted to make a suggestion.

Can your doctor recommend anyone in Ireland for you to see should you come down with an "Erin forget your bragh and just go AWAY" humdinger?

Sometimes doctors have ties of which we are not aware...or maybe you could do a bit of research for an urgent care place. I know I'd feel much better if I had a contingency plan.

Enjoy the lush greens of that beautiful country and even more, your son.
