"Tired and Achy Today"
I thought I might try doing a load of laundry today until my mom and my husband said no way.

Instead I am still vegging on the couch and mindlessly surfing the internet.

My back incisions hurt quiet a bit today and I am tired. Yesterday I went along for the ride to pick the girls up from school and told my tale to some of the moms, and now I am completely exhausted. Today my mom will pick them up without me....the thought of going with sounds too ambitious.

I am getting tired of watching TV and I am even getting bored with some of my computer games.

However, I understand the importance of resting while healing and I will try to find a movie to watch or some new website to check out to fill my time.

I am also very hungry. I might have some soup later.

Please be careful, as it is too easy to exert yourself and thus cause troubles.
I know it's hard to just sit back and do nothing while our wandering minds find so many 'important' things to do, but sit we must.

Just think how much you will HAVE TO DO pretty soon
so use whatever lazy time you still can have :]

Lynelle,
surgery is hard on the body, any type of surgery.
When I had my thyroid removed, it took me a while before I could go back to my normal routine.
The anesthesia is tough for the muscles and internal organs.
I know it's boring and discouraging, but take your time and let your body recover strength and energy.
You'll feel better soon!
Ciao

....and then some! He had a blast with his best girl buddy and her two cousins and I visited with the mom who is a kind friend. Only for JackHenry and a long summer of slow days for him did I go! Otherwise, it's torture.

I came home to meet some workmen to replace our sliding glass door and I found myself SCREAMING at them! I told them sorry....he understood, he had kids too!

Now I'm exhausted really...made JackHenry banana pancakes and bacon for dinner cause Daddy isn't home till really late tonight.....before my last bite JH NEEDED a bath (sore tail as they say in the South!) and so before he could take a bath I needed to wash the bathtub as it had been used for showers by guests and I hadn't scrubbed it yet. (He usually showers in our big walk in each night)

So picture me with pancakes and bacon in my belly and hanging upside down with an aching head scrubbing the btub with Comet. Now I am finished, my hair is wet to the scalp and my kitchen is a MESS.

And we leave Friday at noon for 10 days and I have not packed ONE THING YET!

So not me. But there is tomorrow....right??! Please let there be!

Oh dear that sounds like a chore (cleaning the bathtub), but we do the same thing when we come home from those types of places, too. Straight into the tub for a head-to-toe scrubbing.

Where are you going on vacation?

Today is my last day to pack!!! Slowly sarting my 'piles' for me and JackHenry...I put hubby on his own a couple years ago...I used to do him too.

We are doing an all JH activity trip and on a budget, meaning no flying.

Friday at noon we drive 7 hrs north to my mom and gram's house & use them as 'base'.

Saturday we visit & have lunch with an elder great aunt of mine and take it easy that night with my gram at home..as my mom will be out of town that night at a high school reunion/60th bday party type thing.

Sunday we drive to San Francisco for the day and go to the Exploritorium, very hands on science museum...my child will LOVE this. On the way home to The Grandma's we stop at family's house for a dinner.

Monday we go to 6 Flags Marine World....like a Sea World type thing with rides and all. Also meeting a family there that are old friends of my husband and have 2 boys and 1 girl JH's age range...so added fun for him.

Tuesday we go north to a state park for gold panning and historical tour of Marshall's Gold Discovery in Coloma.

Wednesday we celebrate my mom's 60th bday and drive to Brentwood to my aunt's brand new fabulous home and have lunch and see her new place.

Thursday I have cleared for laundry at my moms and repacking and organizing again to depart....

on Friday morning to Santa Cruz. (lived up north and have never been!) We'll spend the day and late night at The Boardwalk. My sister and family will drive 45min and meet us there and spend all that time with us too. They'll drive back home to the bay area and we will spend the night in a hotel in Santa Cruz.

Saturday we will take a morning 2 hr train ride on Roaring Mtn. Railroads "Mtn. Man Excursion". Supposed to be a lovely ride and at the stop will be a group of historical types all done up in Mtn. Man gear and camping and interact with us.

That night we'll catch another train, same company though, at the beach and do a 2 hr ride at NIGHT! 8-10pm along the coastal part all lit up specially for the ride.

Sunday.....head home!

Monday...AYSO soccer practice begins! And I am the banner maker! YIKES! Pressure to be Martha on this one!

So there ya' go! Praying it won't be 105 deg and me near head death! Was supposed to be that hot, now forcasted to be cooler than that. Thank you God.

Back to laundry and making 'stacks'.!!!

Lynelle,

Hope you are resting up and feeling better! Take it easy for a bit, you will be back to running around in no time. General Hospital is addicting if you need a new daytime show

Take care,
Liz
