Journal of Migraine Sufferers

I was really excited to find the journal. I have spent alot of time reading everyone's comments and concerns. I am 35 years old and have been suffering with headaches since I was 16. I would like to know if anyone reading this is on hormone replacement therapy. I had a complete hysterectomy 3 years ago and my migraines have been more frequent. I've been told (after a while you don't know who to believe) that the hormones I am taking can cause migraines. Does anyone out there been told this? I have read several books, but it would be nice to talk to someone who has been told this. Joan Illinois

I found a great website about migraines (a personal homepage) and this lady just started a migraine sufferers webring. I would encourage you all with websites to join! Here is the URL: http://www.geocities.com/Heartland idge/1250/migraine-ring.html and if you want the URL for her homepage, you can get it off of my website on my page entitled "Living with Migraines". Hope you all are doing well!! After my computer crashed and I lost all of my bookmarks including this one, I finally found this site again after about 2 months I guess. When I wrote in again to update, I had such a nice response of a bunch of you writing to tell me that you were worried about me, etc... Thanks so much!! It means a lot!!

To Alicia from Barbara B-Been there and done that, so many times. I know how hard it is to work with a migraine. Usually, mine seem to show up at work, in the middle of something. I hate them then, because I feel as if I can't leave. I hate giving in to the darned things anyway, and don't have sick leave to burn on them. Just wanted you to know that you are not alone.

Neourologist started me on ELavil, 25mg for two weeks then 50mg after that. She gave me Imitrex in the nasal form, that stuff tastes really bad, runs down the bacj of the throat and burns my nose. Has anyone else had experience with Imitrex nasal? I would like to hear more about the injections and also more about Elavil. Please E-Mail me with any info.
